ICE Donates $7,000 to Nonprofit Community Partner

Social responsibility is embedded into the foundation of ICE, with monthly fundraising efforts to support a number of charities both locally and globally. Last week, ICE’s Women on their Way (WOW) program hand-delivered a $7,000 check to A New Leaf.

ICE employees donated these funds during ICE’s Delivering Dignity drive, which the women of WOW sponsored and ran throughout the month of April. The monetary donation was also accompanied by a selection of in-kind donations, including necessities such as toiletries, sheets and mattresses, non-perishable food items, and kitchen basics.

WOW’s visit to A New Leaf included a tour of La Mesita Homeless Campus, as well as getting to meet with some of the mothers and children in the shelter who have been impacted by ICE’s support efforts. One of the WOW members said, “Getting to see for myself exactly where our philanthropic efforts are going and who we’re helping really hits home. I am so blessed to be able to help others by being part of this team of giving individuals.”

For more than 45 years, A New Leaf has helped local Phoenix families through homeless and domestic violence shelters and services, youth residential programs, foster care programs, behavioral health services, and affordable housing communities. Year after year, ICE holds donation drives, fundraisers, and local events to help support A New Leaf’s mission and those who utilize its services.

ICE is proud and grateful to have both an expansive group of generous team members and a local partner like A New Leaf. It is because of meaningful connections and partnerships like these that ICE is able to help make a real difference in the community.
