On Saturday, December 17th, the employees of ICE, are bringing the North Pole to the Valley of the Sun with their annual Pancakes with Santa charity event.
This experience is open to the public and includes pictures, pancakes, and crafts with Jolly Old St. Nick, and it is the culmination of a two-month long toy and diaper drive hosted by ICE benefiting A New Leaf charity this holiday season. Funds raised from ticket sales, as well as in kind donations collected at the event, will add to the hundreds of toys donated by ICE valley employees to help the local non-profit ensure that each child in the organization’s emergency crisis shelters has a gift to open this year.
Pancakes, pictures and coveted one-on-one time with a certain man in red make the ICE annual Pancakes with Santa charity event the perfect family experience – and a great way to help families in need this holiday season. Beginning at 8:30 am on December 17th, families from all over the valley will have the chance to meet Santa, take pictures, make crafts, eat breakfast, and enjoy holiday stories read by a very special reading reindeer, all for a great cause.
“A New Leaf is delighted at this innovative method of fundraising,” said Joe Dulin, A New Leaf’s Chief Philanthropy Officer. “It is a unique event that will showcase the spirit of ICE employees and their ongoing efforts to fight homelessness and domestic violence – by raising funds to aid vulnerable families in crisis at such a hard time of the year.”
The event will take place on Saturday, December 17th from 8:30 am – 11:00 am at the ICE North Scottsdale office, located at 15501 N. Dial Blvd. “This is one of my favorite events of the year, mainly because of the joy I see on the children’s faces when they see Santa. It is a fantastic family friendly way to engage our employees and community and help those in need at the same time.” said Marcia Rowley, International Cruise & Excursion’s Owner and Chief Marketing Officer.
ICE invites the community to join in on the fun. Tickets to have pancakes with Santa are $10 each and can be purchased by contacting media@iceenterprise.com, children 11 and under are free. Each ticket includes breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee and juice), pictures with Santa, crafts, and reading reindeer story time.
