BackICE is proud to announce our recent 2019 BIG Innovation Award win for our Cruise-Chat program, presented by the Business Intelligence Group.
The online Cruise-Chat program was launched in December 2017 by Executive Director of Cruise Sales, Thomas Matesic, to increase cruise sales from several partner websites. This new functionality provides interested website visitors with the information they want without needing to call for details.
Once a sales lead relays further interest in booking a cruise, they are prompted to continue the conversation over the phone with a travel agent who may then answer more questions, make recommendations and close the sale. While the program initially began with the intention of users booking their cruise entirely online, ICE quickly found that many customers were uncomfortable doing it themselves, especially given the high price point and complexity during checkout.

Organizations across the globe submitted their recent innovations for consideration in the BIG Innovation Awards. Nominations were then judged by a select group of business leaders and executives who volunteer their time and expertise to score submissions. To be selected as a winner is a prestigious award that is held high within innovative businesses.
